Monthly Deep Dive Sessions

Once a month, we go beyond basic budgeting. These extended workshops give you time to work through your actual financial situation with guidance from people who've been there.

We cap attendance at 20 people because real learning happens in smaller groups. You'll leave with a plan that fits your life, not a template that sort of works for everyone.

The next session is May 8th in Perth. We're covering household budget restructuring—how to adjust when your financial situation shifts without starting from scratch.

What Happened Last Quarter

We kicked off 2025 with events across Australia. Here's what went down—and what attendees actually took away from each session.

January 14, 2025

New Year Budget Reset

Started the year with 47 people in Sydney reviewing what worked (and what didn't) in 2024. Most valuable insight: knowing when to abandon a budget system that isn't working instead of forcing it.

02
January 28, 2025

Debt Discussion Panel

Three people at different stages of debt repayment shared their actual numbers and strategies. Raw and honest—no sugar-coating the hard parts or pretending it's simple.

Budget Tools Comparison

Live demos of different budgeting approaches—spreadsheets, apps, envelope systems, and hybrid methods. Attendees tested everything and picked what matched their habits.

Financial Communication Workshop

Practiced the actual words to use when talking money with partners, family, or business associates. Role-playing felt awkward but helped way more than theory.

Questions People Actually Ask

Do I need to bring anything to in-person events?
Just yourself and maybe a notebook if you like taking notes. Some people bring their phone or tablet to access their budget during workshops, but it's not required. We provide any materials you might need.
What if I can't make it after registering?
No worries. Just let us know so we can offer your spot to someone else. For online events, we'll send you a recording afterward. For in-person workshops, we usually have another session within a few weeks.
Are these events suitable for complete beginners?
Most of our events work for any experience level. We note which ones assume some background knowledge. If you're completely new to budgeting, start with "Family Money Talks" or "Getting Started" sessions—they're designed for people who've never tracked expenses before.
Can I bring my partner or friend?
Absolutely. Many people find budget conversations easier with their partner there. Just register both people so we have accurate headcounts. Some events actually work better when couples attend together.
How do online events work?
We use standard video conferencing—nothing complicated to download or set up. You'll get a link an hour before the event starts. Camera is optional, but we encourage it because the discussions feel more natural when people can see each other.
Is there any cost to attend?
Most regular events are free. Extended workshops (the deep dive sessions) have a small fee to cover venue and materials. We list costs clearly when you register. Nobody's turned away for lack of funds—contact us if cost is a barrier.
